Introducing coordinating items!

In order to provide greater selection, I've started creating new pieces in a variety of hardware types.  For my first set, I've chosen to make Coral Garden in brooch, large alligator clip, and bobby pins.  Each piece is available separately here :]

Spring Pixie: Japanese Tsumami Kanzashi

I guess I'm on a roll today, managed to complete two new item listings ;]  This latest is called Spring Pixie, and features soft shades of thistle and baby pink.  And as always, it can be found here.  Thanks for looking!

New Item: Gothic Romance Kanzashi Hair Clip

It's always fun for me to create new items with silk dupioni.  The colors and texture are really second to none in my opinion, and it's just such a wonderful material to work with.  Today I've created a hair clip in deep fuchsia and black dupioni, which can be found here :]

Abstract Mums in Coral

Coral is such a beautiful and dynamic color, there are so many different shades and variations.  This one is more of a peach-toned coral, and is accented with pearl white and grey.  I like that it's sort of a modern/minimalistic pattern.  Anywho, you can find it here :]

A metropolis! (of fabric)

I decided it was high time to get more organized with all of my fabric squares.  I previously had them ordered by color, but having some very similar colors, it made fabric retrieval somewhat more time-consuming than it needed to be.  So long story short, everything is now organized by category (small alligator clips, bobby pins, etc), and then more specifically by which fabrics constitute individual flower pieces.

Wow, I'm really wordy today +_+

So here they all are!  Guarded by a gnome:

Next on my list is organizing all of my fabric proper, which is a huge task considering how much fabric I've managed to hoard...

Rambling Rose v2.0

A while back I had to discontinue my Rambling Rose headband, as the fabric was discontinued. :/ Luckily I was able to acquire new silk dupioni in a similar color theme, so here is Rambling Rose (v2.0!) :)

First Look: Small Alligator Clip Sets!

I've added a new category of items to the shop:  small alligator clips :)  I try to provide a variety of hardware types to suit different preferences, and these small toothed alligator clips are a nice alternative to bobby pins.  The flowers are roughly the same size, but sometimes it's nice to use clips instead.

This new design is called Dusty Rose, and is inspired by a discontinued design of mine (Pink Fawn Stars).  Unfortunately that fabric was discontinued and I had to pull them from my shop, but these are in the same spirit.  I hope you like them, and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Thursday Wrap-up: Brooches, tomatoes, and irrigation

A little later than normal, we put in a tomato garden, along with some peppers and herbs.  Despite the late start, the romas are coming along nicely :)

Unfortunately, a length of irrigation tubing sprang a few leaks which had to be patched up...I don't think it's possible to go one summer without some kind of irrigation work, but it could be worse.

Elsewhere in the garden, a few highlights include a Robin Hood rose, and a sleepy dog:

Today's Petal Mix work included a Black Star brooch pin, made in the tsumami style with black silk dupioni:

Also a new addition, Golden Sakura!  I have many, many new items to be posted in the future, as time allows:
